Intro Message from John Pointer
Welcome! You may or may not know it, but you just jumped a little bit into the future. In the old model of the music industry, I had to ask, "What would you pay for this stuff?" But that's not the important question. The important question is, "What is this work worth to you, and how much to you want it to continue?"
So now... instead of armwrestling over dollars, cents and CDs, you can become more than a fan, and even more than a patron. You can become a Tiny Giant.
I had a band that I called the Tiny Giants for a brief time back in 2007. It was a lot of fun. The magical thing about Tiny Giants is that they're people-sized, but much more powerful; They move the world in the direction they want it to go, simply by decidng to do it.
As I've worked on this Patronism model... I realized that's what I'm trying to do. I want the world to be a more equitable place, with more music, more value and more honest relationships. That's the direction this particular Tiny Giant is pushing things. Now just imagine how much faster it would move that direction with an army of Tiny Giants, all pushing together.
If you think I'm talking about you, I might just be. If you want to join me in moving the world in the direction of equitability, beauty and honesty, with more music and more meaning, all you have to do is chip in to keep this momentum building.
As an added benefit, Tiny Giants get all of my music, past, present and future. They're not just buying tracks, they're making sure there's funding to keep creating them.
I'll do most of the heavy lifting, creatively. All you need to do is decide what that's worth and lend a (Tiny Giant) hand.
Gratefully yours,
John
